Accessibility at the Summit

Accessibility is embedded to the culture and structure of the Summit. We want to ensure you are able to attend and participate wholly.

To that end, there is no-cost to attend the Summit, and we offer hotel stays, travel stipends on a sliding scale, and caregiver stipends detailed below. During the Summit itself, we’ll have fidget toys, blankets, air purifiers, outdoor seating options, masks available upon request, hand sanitizer, language interpretation for Spanish and ASL available upon request, and a quiet room.

For childcare, we offer a flat rate of $272 of a stipend towards caregiver support.

We have an evolving understanding of accessibility at VCET. If there is an access need you have that is not already listed on this page, please let us know in the Registration Form.

Hotel Stay

For anyone traveling outside the Richmond metro area, we are able to provide hotel accommodations should you need them. Options available are for one-night or two-night stays. It would be either/both Monday, November 16 and Tuesday, November 17. To request a hotel room, you will respond to the question in the Registration Form. Rooms are limited on a first come, first serve basis.

Travel Options

If you are traveling outside of the Richmond area, we have a travel stipend to help with the high costs of gas. The travel stipend is calculated based on the approximate IRS mileage reimbursement rate for 2026 and the distance between your address and the Summit venue. Stipends are limited on a first come, first serve basis.

For those that are local, we have Lyft rideshare credits and free parking on-site.
