Our Working Groups
Expanding Our Democracy - Works to ensure every Virginian's right to vote is protected, everyone's vote has equal weight and that our democracy operates in a way that embraces our diversity. The core of our work is voting rights and redistricting reform.
Economic Justice - We work for a society in where everyone has an equal chance to succeed regardless of where you were born, who you are or your current economic circumstances.
Criminal Justice Reform - Works to create a society that believes in second chances and the ability of each of us to change and grow. We seek a criminal justice system that works to repair the wrongs of the past and that works to create a future system that is truly fair and equitable regardless of your economic circumstances or the color of your skin.
Immigrant Justice - Works for a society that recognizes the common humanity of everyone in this country regardless of how and when they arrives. We work for a country that embraces its history of welcoming immigrants and sees its diversity as a strength. We work for immigration reform and a path to citizenship for all.
Environment - Works to create a system that is sustainable for both people and the planet. We work to address the environmental damage done to the poorest and least powerful communities. We believe that solutions to climate change and other environmental issues must be good for all of us.
